Rolankay is a painter, illustrator and fine arts teacher. He grew up in the north of Chile, near the landscapes of the Atacama desert.

For three years, Rolankay studied psychology, which influenced his work. Thus, the artist puts on the canva his marked position in relation to human sensibility. This very sensibility, specific to each one of us, is far from being clear and rational. Rolankay’s paintings are like a mirror that reflects changing moods. This echo warn us from these emotions that govern us. Atacama’s landscape have shaped his perception of colors and his use of lights.

His works are a burst of colors, just like a sunset on the chilean desert. In this way, Rolankay presents us artworks that evoke human sensitivity with a very bright color palette, a powerful combination that does leave one insensible.
