In the heart of the Marais, Sobering Galerie lives and breathes painting.
Founded in 2013 by Jean-Claude Ghenassia and Patricia Kishishian, and now directed by Patricia Kishishian-Ghenassia and Baptiste Léger, the gallery upholds a simple yet powerful idea: painting is a living territory – a space of energy, thought, and emotion.
First, there are the artists.
Those whose work we have accompanied since their beginnings, whose impulses and visions we share.
Each exhibition is an experience: the works speak to one another, confront one another, respond to one another.
That is where everything begins.
And then, there are our collectors.

Au cœur du Marais, Sobering Galerie vit au rythme de la peinture.
Fondée en 2013 par Jean-Claude Ghenassia et Patricia Kishishian, aujourd’hui dirigée par Patricia Kishishian-Ghenassia et Baptiste Léger, la galerie défend une idée simple et forte :
que la peinture est un territoire vivant – un espace d’énergie, de pensée et d’émotion.
D’abord, il y a les artistes.
Ceux dont nous accompagnons le travail depuis leurs débuts, dont nous partageons les élans, les visions.
Chaque exposition est une expérience : les œuvres se parlent, se confrontent, se répondent. C’est là que tout commence.
Et puis, il y a nos collectionneurs.
Fidèles, curieux, présents d’un continent à l’autre, ils partagent notre regard et croient, eux aussi, en cette peinture sensible et vibrante.
