It’s free ! Jean Bosphore, promising young talent in the spotlight

Passing through the Marais district? Stop by the Sobering Gallery, where young painter and draftsman Jean Bosphore (b. 1995) presents a fascinating series of small acrylic on wood paintings (some the size of postcards!). His motives? Astonishing rigid plastic flowers, solitary young men caught in an urban environment (one thinks a bit of the work of Jean Claracq), and sometimes, here and there, an undone piece of clothing, a page of handwritten notes, a manual for assembling a flower kit. A regular resident of the Villa Noailles, Jean Bosphore stages the acidic charm of his paintings within tubular metal and PVC frames, sculptural additions as if coming from a futuristic museum… À complete, promising work; in short, to see!
